What experience level is required to start?
No prior experience is necessary. Our classes are designed for all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced fighters.

Boxing is a combat sport that focuses exclusively on punches using gloved fists, with footwork and defensive maneuvers to evade or block punches. Kickboxing, on the other hand, incorporates punches, kicks, and knee strikes, making it a more versatile martial art that combines upper and lower body techniques.

For boxing, you’ll need boxing gloves, hand wraps, a mouthguard, and boxing shoes. Optional items include headgear for sparring. For kickboxing, you’ll need similar gear but may also require shin guards. Comfortable athletic clothing is essential for both sports.

For beginners, training 2-3 times a week is a good starting point to build skills and endurance without overtraining. As you progress, you can increase to 4-6 sessions per week, depending on your goals and recovery ability. Listen to your body and ensure you allow time for rest and recovery.

Injuries are possible in any physical activity, but with proper technique, the right equipment, and appropriate training intensity, the risk can be minimized. Common injuries in boxing and kickboxing include bruises, sprains, or muscle soreness. Always warm up, use protective gear, and follow your trainer’s guidance to reduce the chance of injury.

Physically, boxing and kickboxing improve cardiovascular health, strength, endurance, coordination, and flexibility. They also help burn calories and build muscle tone. Mentally, these sports can boost confidence, relieve stress, enhance focus, and improve discipline. The combination of physical exertion and skill development makes them excellent for overall well-being.
